This butcher’s shop has become a reference point in Turin’s Crocetta neighbourhood, not only for local tradespeople but also for its own discerning clientele. It was back in 1996 that Diego Mecarelli and Rosario Butera joined forces to turn the business into a veritable temple to Piedmontese fassone veal. They specialise in classic, traditional prime-quality cuts: hence specialities such as veal meatballs (also available made with vegetables), bollito misto (mixed boiled meats), roulades, hamburgers, roasts and Carmagnola grey rabbit, plus, in the Christmas period mutton and capon. The enticing delicatessen counter offers top-notch packaged specialities such as fresh pasta and buffalo mozzarella, fine Italian charcuterie such as culatello di Zibello and Parma Sant’Ilario and Cuneo prosciutto, and last but not least, high-quality tracklements and pickles. Closed on Sunday and Wednesday, open all day on Saturday.
