Tradition has been renewed in this historic artisan shop in Turin where experienced pastry chef and chocolatière Mariella Droetto has taken over the helm, thus crowning her childhood dream. Here a combination of mono-origin cacaos and top-quality blends and the use of the finest produce, such as Bronte pistachios, PGI Piedmontese hazelnuts, Avola almonds, Sorrento lemons and ginger, give rise to exclusive products. The already vast assortment of bitter chocolates with cacao percentages of 65% to 100% has been supplemented with very bitter versions. In addition to individual chocolates, cremini (mini chocolate sandwiches) and bars (flavors include forest fruit, red walnut, coconut and more besides), there are specialties such as Tartine, thin chocolate wafers flavored with organic spices and candied fruit without coloring agents (cacao beans, ginger, coconut, mostarda) and Chicche, coffee beans, orange zest, seeds, hazelnuts coated with milk and black chocolate. A specific line for people with food intolerances and celiacs is produced at the Chicchisani workshop and dedicated gift-wrapped items are on sale at the shop.
