This farm came into being as a life choice: that of living in a better world to bring up one’s children and create a sustainable economy based on agriculture and animal husbandry. Production centres round all-organic blackcurrant growing and the rearing of rabbits with feed envisaged by biological and phytotherapeutic standards and long growth cycles. The farm also produces a lot of vegetables and processed goods such as jams and juices. In season, the blackcurrants can be bought directly at the farm and are also available preserved in syrup and in compotes sweetened with honey (a number of varieties, all typical of the Ceres valley) in lieu of sugar. The rabbit may be bought whole, boned or rolled and ready to cook. Hospitality is available in a typical mountain building a stone’s throw from the centre of Ceres, an ideal place to get away from it all to live immersed in nature, see a farm working firsthand and enjoy walking and cycling.
