This enoteca was opened in 2005 and is an interesting place to find out more about the finest Turinese winemaking. Housed in the lovely 18th-century cellars of Palazzo Valperga di Masino, in Caluso, the beautifully kept premises comprise a tasting room and a display of wines form the four main wine areas in the province of Turin: Canavese, Turin Hills, Susa Valley and Pinerolo. Special attention is devoted to Erbaluce di Caluso, a symbol of the local area and numerous other local labels, from Carema to Freisa di Chieri and those of the Susa Valley and Pinerolo.
Besides selling wine, the Enoteca also promotes tastings, visits, food and wine meetings and tourist initiatives, collaborating with restaurateurs and participating in fairs and events. It thus has an important function as a link between producers, local area and public. Visits are enhanced by the historical atmosphere of the cellars and the opportunity they offer of getting to know the variety of the province of Turin through its wines. It is an experience we recommend both to enthusiasts and to those keen to learn more about Piedmontese wine culture.
