It was in 1975 that Raffaella Corcella opened her confectionery near Piazza Pitagora in Turin and today it is run by her nephew Fabrizio Lovreglio, who assumed the reins in 2009, flanked by his parents Anna and Mario, his sister Raffaella and his wife Alessandra Bentivoglio. In 2004 opened a large workshop next door to the new shop, which now functions as a cafeteria for breakfasts, lunches and aperitifs.
The shop has four flagship products: semifreddo cakes – Umbi, Lavinia, Montebianco, a gluten-free version of the Mont Blanc, and Cinque Consistenze, with hazelnuts or pistachios – French-style croissants, made without eggs and with a generous amount of butter and numerous fillings, including vegan, petite patisserie (up 35-40 typologies), and, finally, biscuits. Its range of Christmas cakes feature a panettone with thee types of chocolate and another with apples and hazelnuts, while at Easter it offers a colomba with pineapple and rosemary. It also caters for the growing demand for savoury breakfasts with mini-focacce, panini, pastries and toasties.
Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 7am to 7pm.
