Panacea is the name of the social project that favours the integration of the disadvantaged in the world of work. Five points of sale are active today: in addition to Via San Massimo, the products from the new oven in Via Don Bosco are on sale at Via Madama Cristina 96, Via Principi d’Acaja 59 A, and, from Friday to Sunday, in Stupinigi at Viale Torino 12. There is also a stand in the new Coldiretti Mercato del Corso market at Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 50. Stupinigi is a reference point for the cooperative because it is here that some of the grain (including heirloom varieties) for the flour used to make the bread is grown.
An emblematic product is pane del contadino, farmer’s bread, each loaf of which bears the image of a stag, the symbol of Stupinigi, made with type-2 flour from grains cultivated a short distance from the famous hunting lodge. We also recommend the rye and Salentine breads and the various special breads produced every month. In accordance with its waste-free circular economy philosophy, the cooperative uses unsold bread to brew Birra Panacea beer, bread cake and a series of biscuits.
