Antica Torrefazione del CentroThis coffee roasting business has been active in the historic centre for almost a hundred years. It has been run since 1994 by brother and sister Francesco and Elisa Mina, who are engaged every day in the hand roasting of prized blends of arabica and robusta, sold in grains or freshly ground for moka pots and sealed in 250g packages to preserve their aroma and flavour.
A broad range of typologies is available: Gran aroma, for the whole family, with hazelnut-coloured cream; Gran gusto, a powerful blend with thick crema; Gran espresso, with notes of vanilla and dried fruit; Fugace, 100% arabica single origin; Sublime, refined, intense and compelling; Blue bar, a blend with a light, fruity flavour; Puerto Turquino, with an aftertaste of cocoa and rum; and, finally, decaffeinated, sweet and full-bodied, processed with water. An impressive selection of compatible capsules and pods is also on sale.
The shop, a former pharmacy, sells elegant gift packs and has developed a thriving e-commerce service with deliveries in Italy and overseas, not to mention monthly promotions online and directly on the premises.
