Monica Castagnero and Mattia Soster, partners in business and in life, run their small agricultural brewery at the mouth of the Susa Valley independently, growing a good portion of their ingredients, such as their cereals, themselves. After graduating as a brewmaster at the University of Gastronomic Sciences (Unisg), in Pollenzo, Mattia trained at a number of important breweries before beginning to brew beers of traditional styles with a personal touch of his own.

Alongside “established” labels, each recognisable by an alphanumeric acronym – from the pale, easy-drinking B27 to the more structured R18 strong ale – the brewery produces seasonal and experimental brews with experimental ingredients. They include, among others: Saison French Kiss, with lemon zest and Sichuan pepper, Brln Kuss, a Berliner Weisse flavoured with raspberries, CST, with Villarfocchiardo chestnut and chestnut flour and California Love, an IPA with the citrusy, resinous aromas of American hops. A tap room is now open adjacent to the brewery itself.
