In 2024 La Masera was taken over by new owners led by businessman Michele Bardus and is currently being expanded from five to 13 hectares with the aim of focusing on spumanti. The headquarters is scheduled to move to a new cellar (which will continue to be overseen by the experienced Davide Boglia) in Viverone in October 2026. The vineyards are to be found near the small town of Piverone, home to the original cellar, in the neighbouring village of Settimo Rottaro and near the new headquarters in Viverone.
The production range is predominated by local grapes: Erbaluce, in a number of versions that span from a Metodo Classico, in Brut and Pas Dosè versions, to three still versions (one fresher and more fragrant, another softer and more structured after brief ageing in wood), to Venanzia, a passito. The range is completed by a Rosato Metodo Classico, from an assemblage of local red grapes, and three red wines (a Rosso, a Barbera and a briefly aged Nebbiolo). The cellar supplies restaurants in the Turin and Asti areas and has opened two “La Masera” bistros, one in Ivrea and one in Verbania. It is also possible to visit the vineyards and the cellar to taste and buy the wines.
