In May 2020, this agricultural cooperative celebrated its tenth birthday. Opened by Elena Comollo and her friends Renato Comollo and Emanuele Penasso, it brings together 22 local fruit and vegetable farms and focuses a lot of attention on social issues, employing a number of socially and physically disadvantaged youngsters. It grows asparagus, peppers, piatline onions and, above all, almost 20 varieties of the celebrated local cherries. A couple of years ago, Elena Comollo was elected president of Facolt, a non-profit body that groups the cherry farms of the Turin hills. All the produce grown is processed in an in-house workshop, that also works on commission. All the products are excellent, from the preserves and compotes to the sauces and condiments, from the fruit preserved in syrup and liqueur cherries to the many pickles and vegetables preserved in oil, and even “fair-trade bonbonnières” produced with care farming practices. Open from Wednesday to Saturday, from 9am to 12.30pm and from 3pm to 7.30pm.
