This farming cooperative was established in 2010, originally as a shop selling fine organic produce from the province of Turin. Since then, it has interacted with the local area, developing values such as the social inclusion of workers and collaboration with non-profit organizations. In the modern workshop, they process the ingredients supplied by the 29 members to produce fruit and vegetables in jars, jams, fruit in syrup (including a vast range with Pecetto cherries), compotes, sauces, tomato passata, salsas and traditional preserves, as well as certified organic prepared foods for third parties. At the shop next door, in addition to fresh vegetables, they sell rice, honey, charcuterie, dairy products, flour, wine and free-range hens’ eggs. The cooperative also leads La Dispensa del Re, the King’s Larder, a project sponsored by the Piedmont Regional Authority in collaboration with the Savoy Royal Residences to promote a selection of agrifood delicacies from the Metropolitan City of Turin, including Cambiano ribbed tomato passata, Piedmontese vegetable antipasto with Moncalieri cauliflower, marinated Pianalto hunchback tench fillets and white cherries in Erbaluce white wine. All excellent gift ideas!
