Situated under the porticoes in Corso Vinzaglio, for some years now this patisserie has not only supplied the pizzeria of the same name but has also attracted a discerning clientele of lovers of wholesome produce. Here they make delicious sfogliatelle, small zeppole, mini portions of tiramisù and many other confections typical of Piedmont and the South of Italy. Production ranges from Neapolitan classics such as babà, zeppole, pastiera and savarin to Sicilian ones such as splendid frutta martorana, marzipan sweets reproducing fruit and vegetables, and ricotta-filled cannoli. They also make savoury items such as cocktail snacks, canapés, mini croissants, mini pizzas and splendid savoury pandoro with pistachio nuts. At Christmas, panettone is always available, as is colomba at Easter. The bakery uses only ingredients of the highest quality and the chocolate is hand-tempered the old-fashioned way. Under the porticoes, next door to the shop, a new confectionery workshop has been added for gluten-free products.
