Established in Coazze in the Valsangone in 2008, this brewery recently moved to Giaveno. Here Enzo Canarelli, owner of the historic Gambrinus pub, two partners, Roberto Carbonero and Alessandro Mammi, and Marco Biga, a brewmaster who graduated at the ITS Agrfood Foundation, produce high-quality, award-winning casks and bottled beers that are clearly German in style (some are available all year round, others are seasonal). The range features Bionda, pale, malted and delicately bitter, Pils, pale, herby and crisp, Doppio, amber, sweet and well-balanced, Rossa, amber and lightly toasted, the pleasantly smoked Brusatà, made with chestnuts, the dark Aleghetor, made with cocoa beans supplied by Guido Castagna, Royal Coffee Beer, aromatised with coffee from El Salvador, and the pale, spicy Whyzen, made with root ginger. The seasonal beers include Avìa, flavoured with chestnut honey, Wolf, flavoured with artemisia, Estiva, aromatised with Pancalieri peppermint, and Festassa, a spicy Christmas ale. In addition to the pub in Avigliana, the partners recently opened Al Cantun d’Aleghe, a club where it’s possible to drink their beers paired with local food products.
