Monica Castagnero has managed this brewery in Rosta with master brewer Mattia Soster since 2014. They brew their beer with homegrown ingredients, such as barley and wheat, which is why theirs is recognized as an agricultural brewery. The beers are traditional but very personal in style. The standard line is named by alphanumeric abbreviations: B27 (blond beer with American hops), B19 (wheat beer), R18 (red beer) and R52 (copper ale). Then there are more youthful, modern beers such as Hip-Hip-Apà!, made with American hops, Wey Tipa!, inspired by Belgian hopped beer, California Love, a beautifully scented IPA, and H-IGA, made with barbera grape must from the brewery’s own vineyards. The range is rounded off by a beer flavored with chestnuts and chestnut honey, the award-winning Total Eclipse, a stout made with the addition of blackberries and conditioned in barrels, and the Old River series, conditioned in barrels and steel vats. New beers include Peaty Blinder, a 12.50° barley wine with peated malt. During the summer it is possible to drink the beers in the taproom adjacent to the brewery.
