In 2021, Luciano Guidotti, who has been running this historic shop for about 20 years, moved the premises by a matter of meters from the address it had occupied since 1927. In the process he created an even more attractive shop for cheese lovers. On display in the spacious windows of the new space, on the corner with Corso Vinzaglio, are carefully arranged local cheeses and those from elsewhere in Italy, plus a few gems from overseas. Nothing is left to chance and every cheese is selected according to quality and seasonal availability. Goat’s, cow’s, sheep’s cheeses, mountain cheeses, cheeses produced in limited quantities, Slow Food Presidium cheeses – an embarrassment of riches in which Stefano, Luciano’s son, and his assistants will guide you with their expert advice. And now it is also possible to enjoy cheese and charcuterie platters, Piedmontese culinary specialties, fine wines and craft beers, sitting comfortably outside under the porticoes or in the elegant inside tasting room. Of the various special cheeses, we recommend the Castelmagno and PDO Fontina from mountain dairies, and the rare Bettelmatt.
