This farm in the village Borgiallo, in the Valle Sacra at the foot of the the Alpine peak Punta Quinzeina, came into being in 1984 when Daniela Giglio and Piero Tapparo began rearing goats and making cheese. In the early 1990s they also began growing berry fruits (blueberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, brambles, strawberries and mulberries) and vegetables, and subsequently opened a modern workshop to process them into compotes, juices, sauces, tracklements (giardiniera, mixed vegetables in tomato sauce, and vegetables in oil, for example), relishes to go with cheese and fruit preserved in syrup. Now Daniela and Piero’s daughter Ialisa has joined the business to run the workshop and shop, while her husband Dino Ronchietto devotes himself to farming work. The fruit compotes contain little or no sugar, as do the blueberry, bramble and strawberry juices. The shop also sells its own fresh fruit and vegetables, craftwork (ceramics, baskets, cups and so on) and the produce of other Masters of Taste, such as Bottega dei Bombi (fruit jellies), The Tea, Le Masche (wine) and Mulino di Piova (flour).

The shop, in the village centre, is open on Saturdays, in summer also on Thursdays, and every day in November and December, from 9am to 1pm, and the farm also has a stand at Ivrea market on the second and fourth Saturday every month in Ivrea.
