Father and daughter Remo and Lia run their winery in San Giorgio Canavese with great passion and determination. The grape they grow the most is erbaluce, which they vinify into three versions: Erbaluce, metodo classico and passito. They also produce red wines, mainly with the Nebbiolo grape: Canavese Rosso and Canavese Nebbiolo. All their hard work in the vineyard and their protection and promotion of the environment are producing fantastic results. Their white wines are dominated by the scents of prevalently marly soils, hence tangy, quaffable wines, such as Misobolo, that are built to last. The metodo classico, which comes in Nature and Brut versions, is a spumante with pronounced acidity and lingering perlage. The red wines are also easy drinkers, while at the same time preserving the tannic, fruity complexity of the Nebbiolo grape.
The feather in the winery’s cap is its passito: sweet and refreshing, in no way cloying, nicely balanced between the sweetness of the fruit and the acidity of a markedly vegetal grape like erbaluce. The winery can be visited by reservation on Saturdays and Sundays.
