Cantina Produttori Erbaluce di Caluso

Cantina Produttori Erbaluce di Caluso

The Cantina Produttori Erbaluce in Caluso was established in 1975 and has since grown to include about 170 members who supply grapes from their 85 hectares of vineyards to produce an impressive 250,000 bottles, a total that would be even higher if one thinks that most of the wine is bottled and the rest sold unbottled. It makes all the various versions of Erbaluce: sparkling with Cuvée Soleil, using the charmat method, and Goccia d’oro, using the metodo classico, still with Baiarda (aged for 20 months) and Fiordighiaccio, produced using the technique of cryomaceration, and passito in the form of the spectacular Riserva, which rests six months on trellises before aging for a minimum of four years in oak barrels, a truly fantastic wine with aromas of acacia blossom and honey with spicy, balsamic notes, and a harmonious, never-endingly long palate.
