With passion and flair and year by year, Mirella Chiattone has developed 150 different products with Pancalieri peppermint. It was in 2002 that she decided to set up on her own and carry on the family tradition of mint cultivation and essential oil production. In her work she devotes special attention to environmental sustainability, from field to finished product: hence energy saving and collaboration with local craft workshops boasting social-vocational integration schemes. The shop combines a number of different initiatives and, besides selling the company’s products, organises excursions, exhibitions, educational activities and themed conferences. Mirella is a volcano of ideas, constantly projected towards promoting peppermint. She produces a vast array of specialities: chocolates, preserves, sweets, tisanes and honey, plus classic peppermint syrup and intriguing combinations with ginger, red berry fruits, liquorice, orange and aniseed. By appointment, it’s possible to visit the company, the museum, and the garden, where more than 50 varieties of mint are grown.
