Pancalieri is the capital of peppermint, and it is here that Mirella Chiattone has run her farm since 2002, following family tradition. The peppermint essential oil is famous worldwide, but a constant drive towards innovation means that today some hundred products are made from this unique herb. In addition to the essential oil and the classic syrups, mint candies, spirits, teas and herbal infusions, she also makes chocolate, pastries, cosmetics and aromatherapy products. The paste di meliga and canestrelli cookies are delicious, as are the flavoured sugar, Cremint chocolates, pure chocolate leaves and Mentella, a gianduja cream with a touch of peppermint. On the farm you can visit the Mint Museum, observe the Garden of Mints with a collection of various types from around the world and follow the Path of Aromatics. The cosmetic line is unique for its concentration of pure Pancalieri mint essence and is particularly recommended for use in the summer or for anyone doing sport or exercise.
