Gocce di Cioccolato was born of the friendship between Maurizio Galiano and Ivano Baiunco: it was they who opened this small patisserie in 2002. Since then, the place has evolved with the passion and expertise of the two owners. Ivano is in charge of the baking and confectionery side of the business, preparing wonderful yeasted cakes (including pandoro), delicious breakfast brioches, individual bavarois, fresh and dry pastries, cakes and toothsome rusks. Coffee specialist Maurizio has made Gocce di Cioccolato one of the most acclaimed roasteries in town. After studying and embracing the world of Specialty coffee, he and Ivano not only opened the small roastery but also bought a share in a plantation in Honduras, from which they import fine arabica coffee in a process that is totally controlled from tree to cup. Today, in espresso and alternative forms, the shop serves four typologies of coffee: two from Honduras (Rio Colorado and from the Dona Elda micro-lot), another mono-origin and a 100% arabica blend.
