An organic farm that grows, harvests and processes officinal herbs from the mountains. One of the leading products is lavender essential oil. About ten years ago, Efrem Alberto began distilling with a brand-new alembic and since then has given life to massage oil, hand, face and body cream, shower gel, shampoo, soaps (with various herbs), air fresheners and eau de cologne. Also very popular are the tisane jellies, born of an original idea, available in eight flavors (the latest, equisetum and bamboo, strengthens the joints). To prepare the tisanes, it is necessary to simply dilute a teaspoonful of jelly in warm water. Since 2020 the farm has imported Shea butter for its cosmetics directly from a women’s association in Burkina Faso. Other products worthy of mention are the cornmeal biscuits and jams and preserves (including a Val di Susa chestnut cream). Il Brusafer, based in a lovely restructured farmhouse in Borgata Combe, is also an agriturismo with five guest rooms.
