Natives of the Veneto region, the Franceschin family emigrated to Piedmont just after the war, and now Renato and his daughter Marta are celebrating 20 years at the helm of the business. In that time, their expertise and passion have made the enoteca a pole of attraction for anyone in pursuit of top-class labels or a personalized gift. The three rooms house more than 1,400 labels: French wines mostly from Burgundy, with plenty of space given over to Champagnes, spirits, grappas, whiskies and cognacs. Piedmontese wine is well represented with renowned labels and those of small natural wine producers. Given the family’s origins, there’s no shortage of Proseccos and there are a number of niche craft beers too, among which 32 Via dei birrai from Treviso and Brasserie du Mont Blanc from France. Once a month the enoteca organizes tastings and theme evening. Also on sale is a variegated range of prime-quality deli goods, which can be gift-wrapped on request: hence chopped lardo with spices Montagnana prosciutto, and exclusive products in jars, mountain cheeses, and fine oils and vinegars.
