La Petite Cave

La Petite Cave

This enoteca in the middle of Turin’s fashionable Crocetta quarter, is run by Luisa Matta and Umberto Cococcetta, and has been active for more than a decade. The place livens up at aperitif time when dozens of bottles are available by the glass, while the bottles themselves are sold all day long, accompanied by precious tips from the owners. The labels stocked take you on a tour of the planet, from Italy, especially the most renowned wine regions, Piedmont and Tuscany, to France nearby (Champagne, Burgundy and Bordeaux), and Germany, with its Rieslings. Leaving Europe, you’ll find wines from Israel and South Africa and the Americas (the USA, Chile and Argentina). Other specialities of the house are sweet wines (Sauternes, above all), after-dinner wines, certified kosher wines, old vintages and in the dedicated gallery, spirits, including labels from Japan. Closed on Sunday and Monday.
