Piazza dei Mestieri, in Turin’s Borgo San Donato quarter, has been a vocational training hub since 2004. The brewery, which has been active since 2007, is located in the courtyard of the converted Fiorio leather tannery and Riccardo Miscioscia has been its brewmaster since 2014. Inspired by his love of the German and Belgian brewing worlds and with the help of his right-hand man Marco Stevanella, Riccardo produces beers characterized by sensory crispness and drinkability. In addition to his pièces de resistance – trademarked labels such as the light ale Manet, the amber Renoir and the more potent, full-bodied Chagall – he also enjoys producing more intriguing beers, some of which are popular and have won awards overseas. Worth a mention is Winternach , a dark Baltic porter with aromas of coffee and chocolate and smoky hints, American Jasper, a pilsner made with the finest American hops, and the latest creation, Frida, an Italian grape ale, in which fine sauvignon must enriches an already alluring bouquet. In the same complex, it is possible to attend baking and chocolate workshops. These activities and many more are coordinated by Maurizio Camilli, chef at the renowned restaurant next door.
