Piazza dei Mestieri, a vocational training school, is situated in the converted Fiorio leather tanneries. The complex houses a bakery, a chocolate workshop and a craft brewery with a pub next door. The beer production is entrusted to Riccardo Miscioscia – whose hobby for many years was homebrewing – and his assistant Marco Stevanella. Here they produce high- and low-fermentation beers characterized above all by drinkability and lightness. They can all be drunk at the brewpub and are on sale bottled. The flagship award-winning products are the fresh, balanced American Jasper, German in style but made with the finest American hops, and Chagall, which has more potent aromas and flavour. They also produce beers in collaboration with other breweries and others for pubs and clubs in Turin. The complex, finally, houses the renowned restaurant of chef Maurizio Camilli, who runs some of the workshops. The chocolate is courtesy of Marina Minniti, who produces 30 different types of pralines, available in elegant gift boxes, a variety of mono-origin bars, chocolate-coated lemon zest and orange segments, and classic giandujotti.
