This business was established in Villastellone in 1988 when Angela and Giuseppe’s parents arrived from Sicily and brought their confectionery culture with them. Angela, who has always been in love with the art of pastry-making, trained at a number of the finest schools, including the École Valrhona, and has competed in many national competitions such as Una Mole di Panettoni.
Here a great variety of products are made by hand using the finest ingredients. Alongside the assorted Viennoiserie, you’ll find petite patisserie with unique flavours: Memory, for example, a concoction of vanilla ganache, apricot jelly, almond financiers and namelaka of exotic fruit, or the flour-free puff pastry horn. The dry pastries such as the torcetti biscuit made with prime-quality butter and the Sicilian almond brittle are also excellent. The latest addition to the selection of cakes on display is Origine, a homage to the finest Piedmontese ingredients. Other specialities are the craft ice cream, pralines and classic yeasted cakes.
In the coffee shop next door, Giuseppe has roasted arabica and robusta, to be drunk at the counter or taken home vacuum-packed for the moka machine, twice a week since 2017.
