Top quality ingredients and the constant pursuit of alternatives for people who suffer from food intolerances are the distinctive features of this patisserie in Piazza Sant’Agostino, right in the heart of Carmagnola. Here Federica and Gianluca have created a temple of modern taste. Viennoiserie is well to the fore in breakfasts: hence a variety of croissants, pain au chocolat, and cannolo filled with custard. Check out the jams and maritozzi, sweet buns typical of Rome. The petite patisserie and savory pastries are unique of their kind: hence canapés and cones in an array of flavors, featuring outstanding local specialties such as bagna caoda, garlic, parsley and anchovy mousse, toma del fen, cheese matured in hay, and salsiccia di jura, beef sausage. Then come semifreddi, iced cakes, andthe specialties of the house: the wheat flour-free Gianduietta, Sorrisi di Carmagnola, plain chocolate and coffee-flavored bonbons, Santagostini, made with hemp, and chestnut panettone baked in jars. Individual portions of versions for the lactose- and egg-intolerant are also available. Sourdough yeast cakes, such as panettone with peppers, raspberries and hazelnuts. The ice creams are totally eco-sustainable: they come in 22 flavors, eight of which dedicated to people with food intolerances. We recommend the zabaglione.
