This lovely ice cream parlor in Turin’s so-called ‘Roman Quadrilateral’ has two distinctive features. The first is craftsmanship applied to mostly organic ingredients (the milk, for example), hence seasonal fruit without semi-finished industrial products and the use of old-fashioned vats that are not only nice to look at but also ensure better conservation of the ice cream itself. The second is the establishment’s roots in the great Sicilian tradition, one of the finest and versatile, hence cassata and granita, cannoli, classic and with ice cream, splendid ice cream-filled brioche and yummy pistachio and prickly pear flavors. Also on offer, ice cream sticks, now enjoying a revival (the plain and strawberry flavors stand out), traditional cones, miniature ices and splendidly moreish iced cakes. Closed on Monday in autumn and winter.
