This small farm overlooks Bussoleno, in the Val di Susa, and with its typically mountain agriculture grows vegetables, seasonal fruits and aromatic herbs.

Silvio Montesini’s story is an impressive one from the business point of view: as a youngster he had many passions – for the mountains, for natural produce, for the land, for good food – and as an adult he has combined and cultivated them to create this organic farm at an altitude of 650 meters in the Orsiera-Rocciavrè Nature Park.

In the small mountain cottage where he lives, he has set up a workshop and made some plots of land tillable to plant fruit trees (cherries, apples, plums), berry fruits and vegetables. He then processes his produce into jams, pleasant liqueurs (the latest is Amaro Inverso, a digestif), delicate sweet-and-sour specialities, and parsley and garlic sauce.

All the work is done by hand just hours after the harvest. In addition to organic techniques, the farm employs biodynamic and synergetic methods to avoid wasting water and improve exploitation of the soil.
