This 17th-century mill is situated on the road that leads to the Valle Orco and the Val Soana, at the confluence of the Piova and Orco rivers. Efficiently run by Giorgio Pagliero, it produces a variety of flours, prevalently with stone-ground local ingredients. Products include maize flour (especially with pignoletto rosso maize), buckwheat flour, novembrina chestnut flour, and farinela for cake-making. It also grinds other cereals such as barley, spelt, rye, durum wheat and soft wheat. Since 2018, the mill has also housed a bakery that produces four types of bread (multicereali, calabr8, panpolenta and panbiava, which is available on Friday and Saturday, grissini with pignoletto rosso flour, buckwheat rusks and paste ‘d melia (cornmeal biscuits) and Terre rosse (rye, millefiori honey and cinnamon biscuits). In addition to the products of the mill, the shop also sells the rice of the Molinaro farm near Santhià, in the province of Vercelli. Open in the morning from Tuesday to Thursday, and all day on Friday and Saturday.
