Passion, quality and courtesy –Vera and Alessia’s mission is to produce good, natural, sustainable and enjoyable ice creams for all. The ingredients come mainly from Piedmontese farms (organic milk), in some cases from Caluso itself and environs (organic eggs, whole-milk yoghurt, organic fruit) or companies that share their production philosophy, such as Domori for the chocolate and Bianco of Caluso for the honey. There are flavours with dedicated recipes (cremarancia, purocacao, Calusopassito, saffron) and others that bear the name of their primary ingredient, hence Amarelli liquorice from Rossano Calabro and Toritto almond, a Slow Food Presidium. We suggest you discover some of the new ones! The same applies to the sorbets: exclusively seasonal fruit, hence fig, chestnut and fox grape in autumn and winter, cherry, apricot, strawberry and raspberry in spring and summer. All tubs, cups, spoons and bags are of course biodegradable and compostable. Open from March to December, every except Monday from 12 noon to 7.30pm (until 10pm from April to September).
