An enoteca, an osteria, a wine label – for more than a century Rabezzana has been a reference point for gastronomy in Turin. Franco, the heart and soul of this, a business that is evolving constantly while, at the same time, following tradition, is passionate about Piedmontese food and wine. Situated in the center of Turin, the enoteca stocks about 1,000 Italian and foreign wines, spumantes, Champagnes, spirits, liqueurs and beers, and also serves aperitifs and merende sinoire, typical Piedmontese afternoon snacks. It sets great store by red wines from the Monferrato hills, where the family’s wine cellar was established in 1876 and still produces Barbera and Grignolino to this day. Fine Moscato, Pinot Nero, Barbaresco and Spumante Brut Charmat from small Piedmontese producers are also marketed under the Rabezzana label. The attractive basement houses an osteria which serves mainly Piedmontese food with echoes of Sicily, the chef’s place of birth, accompanied every Wednesday by live music, courtesy of the Rab Mataz project. Since 2019 the Giustetto pasta shop next door, has supplied the enoteca with typical Piedmontese dishes, among which exquisite vegetable flans, sweet semolina and bonet, set chocolate and amaretti custard.
