Driven by the passion of the Alberto and Anzola families, this coffee roasting business has been selling the finest coffee from all over the world – South America, Africa, and the West Indies – for more than 60 years. Here beans are carefully roasted to produce coffee of unmistakable aroma in nine different blends: from Pappagallo Rosso, produced mainly with arabica, to Pappagallo Oro, 100% arabica, and Nero, which contains a high percentage of robusta and has the intense typical of Italian-style coffee. The firm also produces two Slow Food Presidium coffees – Harenna Forest from Ethiopia and Huehuetenango from Guatemala – as well as 1961, a well-judged blend of arabica and robusta with notes of tobacco and spices. This modern business on outskirts of Turin preserves the charm of and respect for the ingredients of tradition. Coffees may be purchased at different levels of grinding, including for moka pots and in Nespresso-compatible pods. All products are available online, together with a selection of gadgets, such as cups, trays and aprons.
