This farm produces wine and processes fruit and vegetables using solely homegrown produce. It was established in 2001 and began its processing activities in 2009. In 2018 it began aging its wines in a balmetto, or natural cellar, at Borgo Franco d’Ivrea, where it opened its Balmetto Terre Sparse agriturismo in 2022. White wines include Erbaluce, produced with the cryomaceration technique (Mezzavilla) and with prolonged maceration (Diverso). Reds include Canavese Rosso (Frenesia), Canavese Nebbiolo (Contacc) and Canavese Doc Rosso Balmetto® 2018 (made with late-harvested grapes and aged in a hundred-year-old balmetto that exploits flows of fresh air from the bowels of the earth to keep the temperature cool and constant), and others produced with the native grapes neretto (Ne) and slarina (Essenne). The farm also produces classic jams (berry fruits and apricots), fruit juices, pickles and condiments, sauces and special preserves such as peach, amaretti and cacao, and pear and chocolate. All products can be bought online or at the farm shop on Thursday and Friday from 3pm to 7.30pm.
