Vignaiole Prever

This farm dates from 1949, when Giulia Chiarle’s parents purchased some plots of land particularly suitable for vine growing. In 2004, with Giulia’s help, her mother began producing wine and in 2015, following specialised studies in oenological technique and with the contribution of her business partner, she began to release labels that showcase native Piedmontese grapes from historic vineyards. The cellar attaches the utmost importance to sustainability (it has its own photovoltaic plant) and the protection of biodiversity. Notwithstanding its limited production, it has won important national and international prizes and awards. The wines are named to avoid evoking grapes from outside the DOC area, and conjure up memories and stories instead: hence Nebbie Autunnale from Giulia’s mother’s original vineyard, a well-structured red aged in barriques, Audace, a blend of 22 grape varieties, Beneficio di Michele, from ungrafted vines, Del Fuoco, a white wine from a historic vineyard that survived a fire, and San Nazario, created to celebrate the patron saint of Villarbasse.
